I totally agree with everyone, It is hard being a single parent and have to work to jobs. With my second job I was getting the AEIC which basically puts food on the table for my family. So this is hard for me.

People at my job was not informed that one can get an advance on their earned income credit. The employer suppose to tell us upon employment but they did not. We have to read it for ourselves. It is a real bad that the people who needs this money cannot get it. The government says that is was an underutilized program and in a way it was because they did not tell us about the program to utilize it. No one at my job even knew about this law. Not even the people in HR.

I agree with Danielle I am so in the same boat and IT IS NOT KNOWN ABOUT, I used it last year and the payroll person didn’t even know what it was…now it’s gone that is an extra 120 dollars a month – GONE – it’s funny that the lower income people getting 0.06% held back of their wages, but I’m sure the Government wouldn’t hold back 0.06 back from their pay checks! Why don’t we cut back from people who can afford it, why hard working single moms or how about REALLY forcing DEAD BEAT DADS to pay child support….I could sure use the that extra 4000 in back pay right about now, or even the 115 bucks he is supposed to pay a month for child support.

I was getting an average of 60 every two weeks from the aeic. It really does make it even more difficult to keep up with bills since it was taken away. The reason why it isn’t used is because NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT IT. I was telling people about it and everyone was surprised that this existed. Now it’s gone. Maybe if everyone was educated about it they would have taken advantage of it.

How could the Government cease this program the helps support hardworing, low-income, single parents. This AEIC program helped keep bills paid and food on the tables for our children. We voted officials into office to help us, not to make things even more difficult for us.
